'THE BEAST IN THE FAMILY' is a true story with a happy ending despite the perversions of a predator in an ordinary family who thought they had an ordinary life until the first disclosure of child sexual abuse.

Despite the pain, suffering and trauma throughout, there was always love and many happy moments.

Although I left school without any academic qualifications, little did I know the best lessons were going to be self learnt at the school of hard knocks and I would eventually gradate with honours from the university of life. My careers officer asked me what I wanted to do after school. My reply was "I want to be a social worker, so I can help people".

Unfortunately I didn't have the qualifications back then, but that was then and this is now. I have done the first level of a counselling course and will finish the course once this book is published. I will then use my experience to work with families who have suffered from child sexual abuse.
